How does the warranty favor with the refurbished phone compared to the new phone if lost or damaged. Are they more likely to replace it the newer it is or just refurbish.

I bought my new phone in Nov 9 Monday, fell out of my pocket and dropped it at work shattered the back of my motorola Edge Plus phone on Friday 13.
