Hello, I have the Galaxy S4 and it started this issue about a month ago. When my phone rings the screen will go black and a message pops up saying " unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped" I have since dropped my phone (and cracked the screen) will they still replace my phone under the warranty as they are unrelated? I am assuming not, but just wanted to check!

I am sorry for the issues you are having with your device. We would not be able to replace a phone under warranty if there is any physical damage as it voids the warranty. Have you tried a factory reset of your device? http://vz.to/1qPEtdi Do you have insurance on your phone? If so you can contact Asurion at 888-881-2622 or visit www.phoneclaim.com to file a claim.
