Thanks for not answering my very straightforward question, Verizon.
I took the risk myself and took the Note 5 with me to Europe.
I can now confirm that it works perfectly on my Proximus carrier (in Belgium), which only uses LTE band 3. It was as easy as removing the Verizon sim, putting in the Proximus sim and voice/2G/3G/LTE immediately worked flawlessly.
As such, it appears to be a crucial difference with the Verizon S6, unless this has been patched in the meantime.
Maybe put this information on the product pages of your website, alot of people were looking for it.

Why would Verizon put info about compatibility of Verizon devices with foreign carriers where Verizon doesn't work?
