I can't seem to find documentaion to tell me how to wake my Droid up. While on an extended call the screen goes blank. If I need to access the screen the only thing that seems to works to...
hit the hang up button which disconnects the call and wakes up the screen
or shake it vigorously untill the screen lights up again.
There certainly has to be a more elogent way to do this! Any help for the technically challenged...and yes I can program a VCR to keep from flashing 12:00

Try changing your display settings. The steps are below. HTH!
From the home screen, touch the applications tab (located in the lower-left).
Touch Settings.
ToTouch Screen timeout.
Touch Sound & display.
Touch the desired screen timeout.
i would not suggest the above. sure....you could set it to "never timeout" and watch your battery drain. it is supposed to wake up when you pull it away from your ear. i'd take it in to a store and see if something may be wrong with the sensor that detects whether or not you are holding it to your ear.
