I get an error that we're having trouble setting up your service. Try again later or call Customer Service 800-922-0204 and tell them error code 9009. Calling that number is unhelpfull. Press this, press that transferred.....

Shut down your Verizon voice mail app, clear cache and data. Next install the phone's stock voice mail app and setup your voice mail account.

There is only one voice mail app on my phone and it is apparently Verizon?

What phone are you using? (Then give this a try, Shut down your Verizon voice mail app, clear cache and data. Next restart the phone and restart your old voice mail app and try setting up your voice mail account). You also can go to the Play Store and pick from other mail apps. Verizon is the network service provider but you can run other apps that will work with Verizon.
