Very bad service since update

Since the last update Ive had VERY bad service, places I had 4  bars now have 1 or 2 and my texts fail to send sometimes which never happened before. Can anyone help?

Assuming you have a 4G LTE phone, you might try resetting the SIM card, i.e., turn off the phone, remove the SIM card (be careful not to touch the gold contacts), wait a few minutes, then reinsert the SIM card, turn the phone back on, and allow a few minutes to establish a fresh network connection.
