When will we see an update that allows us to actually use the micro SD card to at least store pictures and video? Currently, one can add a 32Gb SD card and can view its lack of contents but there is no way to store data to it.

You should be able to have camera save pictures to the SD card already. Another option, is to use a file explorer app from the Play Store and move your personal content from the internal memory to the SD card.

Currently, there is no means of storing the pictures and video to the removable SD card from the Gallery. This is not a problem on my Galaxy Nexus but it is on the Ellipsis 7. I am not the only one running into this issue. I can get the app to permit me to move my files but then I would have to swap from SD to internal storage anytime I wanted to look at pix or vids. This should really be addressed in the Gallery app and/or the OS. For the now, I will definitely try your suggestion. Thank you and God bless.

The Galaxy Nexus has only an internal memory space.

The Gallery app on the Ellipsis tablet if written correctly will recognize images stored on both the internal and external memory spaces.

My apologies. I was thinking of my Motorola Droid. Like I said, I will give your suggestion a try. That should help for now.

Marketing reasons? That could very well be it. Why update a phone to the latest OS when the OEM can give a lame excuse for artificially limiting a phone without having a technical reason for doing so. In which case the consumer would more than likely "think" about getting a new phone with the latest OS.

Exactly, they want you to get a new phone and hoping it'll be the HTC One. Even if you decide to get a different brand, once all or most of the Incredibles are gone they can stop support and stop carrying replacement parts etc......So users of the phone are costing HTC more than what they are willing to spend so they (HTC) will neglect the phone so consumers will stop using it.

That's how I feel about the subject anyway.

I've filed a complaint with the Oregon Department of Justice, Consumer Protection Division over this issue.  I hope you will all do the same in your states. This inaction on the part of Verizon is irresponsible and reflect poor business practices and consumer insensitivity. They falsely advertised the SD Card capability. It has no such capability, and the developers of Ellipsis 7 had to know this before the product was launched.  Verizon just chose to ignore the issue just to get this tablet to market.

It seems impossible to get anyone to give you a projection on when this issue is going to get fixed. It's been a problem for several months now, enough time for Verizon  Dev. team to do a patch or hot fix. I'm likwe the rest of you, fed-up and frustrated that there's no visibility in the near future of a solution for this problem.
