VZW policy on voip.

Is there a VZW policy regarding voip?  Whay have they decided to turn skype into a liablity rather than an asset?  IOW,  I have to turn off wifi in order to use skype and vice versa.  If I'm sitting in the airport in Amsterdam, skype is useless....There are other voip apps out there, are they in violation of some policy?  Why pick on skype?  Is this a sign of things to come?  Will voip be eliminated totally at some point?  If so, I'll be looking for another provider.

VOIP isn't frowned on at all with Verizon and it may be a thing to come.

If you think about it, if your using VOIP on your phone then your using a Smartphone which Verizon is forcing the unlimited data package anyhow. That's $30 bucks a month where the VOIP data is prob getting split between EVDO and your own home WiFi anyhow.

I doubt they're losing money on minutes. If you think about it, all the carriers are starting to offer affordable unlimited minute packages. The whole business model is changing.
