Upadte for the Droid Stratosphere?

After googling how to reset my Stratosphere to what the settings were before the recent update, I found many people having the same issues as me. Last night my phone prompted me to update it, so, I did, and I regret it SO much right now. I woke up to a few aesthetic things being different and knowing I didn't like them but I could get used to them, but I'm having trouble with my WiFi staying connected to the WiFi in my house, and these error things keep popping up saying stuff like, "This random thing wasn't executed properly please try again," and my texts are now followed with this CB:#(followed my by phone number). I thought it was a sort of signature thing I could change but I can't! And I don't want to see this after every text I send because I'm a teenager and I clearly text a lot and seeing this.. this thing after every text that I can't get rid of is truly irritating to me.

Long story short, I'm willing to do a Hard Restart after reading it's the only viable way to fix these issues but I want to know if it will reset it to what my phone was like before the update. IE: All the ascetics will be back to what they were, this random message will stop following my texts, my WiFi will actually freakin work? If I could get an answer, it would be incredibly helpful. An update shouldn't have THIS many issues following it, I mean seriously, it creates so many problems for so many people and with a hard restart I have to re download EVERYTHING, re enter all my contacts, etc... Pretty ridiculous. Please help. -_-

Please look around at some of the other threads here about the Stratosphere update. All of these questions have been raised. A brief summary:

  • I don't think a factory reset will restore it to pre-update. Basically, these updates are "mandatory" and can't be rolled back. Our only hope is that some of the actual malfunctions they introduce will be fixed in a future update. No one is holding their breath on that.
  • WiFi may possibly be fixed by making an adjustment to the DHCP leasing in your router.
  • The callback # in your text messages can be removed: Messaging > Menu > Settings, scroll down to Callback and uncheck Callback enabled.

Thank you so much! That helps me a lot. If I have any further issues I'll just call the store. ^^
