Maxcee72, I praise GOD for you. Your one of the very first person to truly understand the point I'm trying to make. Most of everyone on here is jumping to Verizon's defense. Thank you for sharing your story and I hope it doesn't go unnoticed.
I think everyone understood your point, it is just that most people realize that having a subsidized unlimited data plan is just a dream, or a wish... Would everyone love it? Yes, they would. Do I still have it on my phone? Yes, and I am in the same boat as Maxcee72, I have lines that are eligible for upgrades, but they would lose their unlimited data, and I don't want to do that right now. But don't bash rcschnoor for pointing out what he did, he realized that moving to the new Share Everything plan worked for him and his plans. It would work ok for me too if I had to move, and I will probably at some point, but I will ride the unlimited data as long as I can.

When you say things such as this, I am assuming you are including me in this category. I am not really sure WHY you would do that, though. I am SAVING $40/month by voluntarily giving up my unlimited data and switching to the Share Everything plan. How is THAT jumping to Verizon's defense. That is my defense, NOT Verizon's as I am WITHOLDING $40/month in revenue from them.
Are you suggesting I should have kept my unlimited data, pay an additional $40/month to Verizon and receive NO ADDITIONAL BENEFIT for doing so? If you can explain how that would benefit ME and not ONLY VERIZON, then I would be more than happy to agree with you.
As it is, I AM NOT defending Verizon. I ONLY chose the plan which was BEST for my situation. The fact it DOES NOT agree with you philosophy does not change the fact it is the BEST option for ME. I am saving almost $500/year, revenue Verizon IS NOT receiving. I have also NOT changed my data usage habits AT ALL.
When the Share Everything plans were 1st introduced, I was quite vocal against them. Later, when I chose to upgrade 2 of my 4 lines to smartphones, making all lines on my account smartphones, I realized I would SAVE money by VOLUNTARILY giving up my unlimited data and making the switch WITHOUT any effect whatsoever to my usage habits. THAT is why I made the switch. I felt no need to give Verizon additional revenue UNLESS I would have a benefit for doing so.

Everyone gets your point. You don't get we accept the realities of the real world. No one here is against the idea of unlimited data. Some us accept the REALITY that it is not possible. So I am not defending Verizon I am trying to educate you on the reality of the situation because you clearly do not understand it.

I went to upgrade my phone today..I am now finding out that one of the phones that I upgraded is going from unlimited data to 2GB; this is also the phone that I use as the MobileHotSpot; the other phone is going from 4GB to 2GB. I am seriously thinking about switching to another phone company if they are not able to get my old phone data back. Also, I wouldn't have upgraded but the ThuderBolts that I had could not keep a steady internet signal on one phone and the other's internet went completely down today and the tech's could not figure out the problem.
I'm already paying close to $300 a month for 3 phones and MobileHotSpot; there's no reason for me to have these phones if i can't get a data plan that will work for my family. I can go to Straight Talk and get unlimited EVERYTHING for a lot less a month!! I am conserding this since I'm having so many problems.
Verizon needs to consider their customers for once and get the unlimited data back!

There are a few ways to keep unlimited data. They all involve NOT signing a new contract. You can:
Keep your old phone and don't upgrade
Buy a phone on Ebay or somewhere else and put it on your unlimited Verizon line
Pay full retail price for a new phone with Verizon
Upgrade another line on your account and switch it to a tiered data plan (2GB for $30) and then move that phone to the line with unlimited data.
If you upgrade a line with a new subsidized Verizon phone, you WILL LOSE your unlimited data. That policy change took effect 6/28/12. There is speculation that Verizon will discontinue ALL unlimited data plans in July 2014, but that is just speculation.

And if they DID offer unlimited data? Just how much do you think they would charge for it this time around? As it is on the SEP, 20 Gig is $150. And even if they did put it back, they would probably charge a fortune for HotSpot (was $30 add'l on UNL plan I believe), throttle it out the whazzo, and/or start charging for speed tiers.
