Wondering if anyone has successfully opened Google Now on their Note 2. I've tried swiping up on the lock screen which is supposed to launch it but it doesn't. Can't find it anywhere.

Did you try both of Tidbits' suggestions? Holding down the menu button takes you to the Google search screen, but holding down the home button then pressing the 'g' should launch Google Now.

Where is the Google Now option in the Settings menu? Is it in its own section? Or is this yet another difference between the carrier versions (VZW and T-Mobile)?

Tidbits, those screen shots were so helpful! Thanks again. When I finally found the correct menu, with your help of course, I was able to turn on Google Now (it had been off) and it does now launch when I swipe upwards from the home screen.

I hit the menu button again and waited a bit longer. The cards eventually came up. I didn't wait long enough before. Thanks for the screenshots Tidbits.
