Once you're connected pulldown the notification area --> Tap 'USB Connection' then tap "USB Mass Storage"
On your workstation you will probably see 2 drives, it's usually the highest letter of the two. Once in there you're looking for DCIM --> Camera

Transfer through USB cord and mass storage mode to the computer.
How are you trying to transfer the pictures now?
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

I've been playing around with a piece of software called 'Wondershare MobileGo'
Aside from the cheesy name it works pretty smoothly for a backup to workstation solution. Works via WLAN or USB. Has some pretty nice features.
They're in the Market or you could read more here:

why bother with a 3rd party app if it needs a usb, why not just drag/drop from card to pc.

I like having more than one suggestion/option for tasks I need to accomplish, don't you? It does a little more than just let you copy photos.

certainly if plan "a" doesn't work, op wanted to know how "how to", not options with 3rd party apps.

Really? I must have missed the part where the OP said "I don't want to know about 3rd party apps"
As I said, since the community is based on being helpful I think it's good to let people know about any potential solution to any given problem. Especially when there is added benefit to said solution.
But, as is the case so often in life, each person has their own opinion and methodolgy for doing things.

I already did. Correctly I might add. Where does it say - "no 3rd party apps"?
