Don't know what sort of Droid you have nor what OS version. Visit the support pages and make sure you download those drivers for your PC for that phone. Did you look in your owner's manual for the phone to see what they recommend?

On your phone, put your USB Connection Type in Settings (Maybe under USB or Connectivity) to Media Sync (MTP) or Mass Storage.

Try connecting again.

If this doesn't work, try a different USB cable. Some are charge only. Use the one that came with the phone, or get another.

If that doesn't work, try a different USB port.

If another computer can see it, try deleting the USB device on your PC, and power down your PC and power back up, and allow it to re-install necessary drivers to support the USB ports.

Hope that helps.

There is another way to move files besides over USB cable, if you have a WiFi router. Download SwiFTP onto your phone from the PlayStore. It is an FTP server program. Download Filezilla or another FTP client onto your PC (google for it on the PC, and you will find free downloads). You start the server program on your phone, then you run the client program on your PC. You should be able to establish drag-n-drop connectivity that way if you can't get USB connectivity to work.

Hope that helps.

Have you had any success?

Another thing to try, is a different PC. At least in this way, you may have more information as to the integrity of the cable, and the likelyhood of a USB port / driver problem.
