The LG G4 is supposed to come with 2 years free 100GB google drive storage. Where is it for Verizon customers? Sprint, T-Mo, AT

At the LG G4 presser, along with numerous other features that are not included in the VZW variant of the G4, it was stated that the phone would come with 2 years of free 100GB google drive storage.  To date no VZW user has access to this 100GB. Sure LGs giving us a free SD card, but Google Drive is far more useful than an SD card and 100gb > 32gb.

It was a feature removed by Verizon.  Verizon didn't advertise the cloud space as an available offer.  A lot of LG.com add-ons were available that Verizon did not offer or include.

This would appear to be false advertising by LG unless they stated that some features may be carrier dependent. You should bring this up with LG, not Verizon.

I think a problem with all carriers and manufacturers is not in what they advertise, but in what they fail to mention is not an available option in one particular model number or carrier variant.  LG should list what their stock model is capable of and should show a list of carriers and the features included and omitted for comparison purposes.  Verizon should advertise their model the same way.  I know it brings light to the limited functionality one might expect a phone to have after having visited LGs site to read up on the G4, but it's more straight forward.  This goes for all manufacturers and carriers.

I am sure that is EXACTLY what Verizon does. I doubt you will find on Verizon's website ANY of the features on the G4 which are not actually available on the Verizon model, i.e. 100 GB Google Drive storage, etc... Of course Verizon is going to have the items listed which you can use on their model. I am fairly certain they will not list the features which are NOT available, not is it their responsibility to do so.

Buying a cellphone is like buying a car...different packages available from different dealers.  But, even then, you get a list of standard features and each model highlights its differences.

Yeah, the tech specs are lacking in detail now.  It's almost like, "You don't really need to know the specifics, just know it's probably fast enough, has enough RAM, plays games, receives data."  No mention of CPU and GPU models or capabilities or even links to the manufacturer of the parts.  With all the differences out there, a comprehensive list would be nice, but then, if the manufacturer won't list it all, can't expect Verizon to offer more info than one might find on the products homepage.  I guess I can understand most of that, but at least give the differences between yours, stock, and what makes your variant more appealing than another carrier's.

Verizon only needs to advertise the options they have IF they have advertisements for a phone. As I said previously, I don't think Verizon advertises any of their phones with features which they don't actually have. If you point out some links on Verizon's website which say their phones have something they don't actually have, I am obviously mistaken.

I disagree with this statement. There is no reason to point out the differences in a model of phone which is slightly different than the same model on another carrier. They advertise what THEY carry. Why give free ad time for other carriers by advertising what phones other carriers sell? Verizon has always advertised mainly on their network. I don't foresee that changing any time soon. They advertise a phone and the capabilities it has. Period.

For the most part, what makes a Verizon phone more appealing than another carrier's phone is the network on which it is used. If you want the features which OTHER carriers advertise, yet Verizon does NOT offer NOR advertise, go with the other carrier. It is that simple.
