Don't really have an answer, just to say that this used to happen to me with AT&T. I thought it was just them, but maybe not. How often does it happen?

I experience the exact same thing. I thought it was the phone and was due for an upgrade so I switched phones, but still have the same problem. One thing I did find out was that usually when I dialed out, it freed up any pending calls/texts. Not a good answer nor do I have the time or inclination to use that as a work around. I am tagging on to your post in hopes that something will come of it. Funny thing is that I have 4 phones on my account and mine is the only one that does this.

Certainly hope that there is a fix for it...

Greetings Community:

Thanks for sharing your input and experiences.  There are several things that can cause this problem, but if you had the problem both before and after changing devices, it's most likely a network issue.  There is something called a Message Waiting Indicator that is active in our systems (or at least should be). This feature alerts you in a timely manner of any text messages or voicemails that are "waiting" for you on the network. This feature may be turned off for those experiencing this problem.

I recommend contacting tech support at 866-892-7957. If they are unable to find the issue, a network ticket can be filed with the engineers to see what's going on with your line of service.  If you changed equipment, and are the the only person having the problem, odds are there's something up with the line's provisioning.

Feel free to post any findings, updates, or news on your issue.
