Text Message in Limbo

I have the LG Lucid 2 and I was going through my messages. I wanted to get rid of some and when I was deleting this conversation I had with a person they texted me. Now I have a message from them but I can't open or view it or get rid of the notification since their is no actual conversation there. How can I view it or at least get rid of the "1" on the messages shortcut?

Try ppowering it off, remove and reinsert the sim, then power it back on.
