I recently switched my Android phone from a Contract to Prepaid plan. Verizon Cloud and Verizon Protect apps are now unavailable, according to error message. Do Prepaid plans not support these apps?

Now, how do I remove app completely so that I don't get a daily msg telling me that my backup failed?

Pre-loaded apps like that usually can't be removed, but under the Settings & Applications menu you could disable it to stop it from launching and dong that.

go into the device's settings then tap on Applications, tap on Application Manager, tap on Backup Assistant or Verizon Sync services, then tap on disable or turn off.
