Stop "upgrade voicemail" notifications!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
plshelp
Enthusiast - Level 3

I have a Galaxy S5.  I receive constant notifications "Your voice mail service has been updated. Tap here to set up your service."  I clear it and it automatically comes back.  I have no desire to set up this service and I REALLY would like the notification to STOP.  I have searched the boards, and no one has an answer.  I have seen replies such as:  go through your online settings and disable (NOT POSSIBLE), go through your phone settings to disable (NOT POSSIBLE) and just go a ahead and configure the visual voice mail and it will stop (I DO NOT WANT THIS SERVICE, I DON'T WANT TO SET IT UP AND GET STUCK WITH A BILL FOR A SERVICE I DIDN'T WANT TO BEGIN WITH).

VERIZON - please do whatever is necessary to stop this

To Disable Visual Voice Mail

1. Sign in to your My Verizon online account. On left side of page in Blue letters find the drop down menu. Click to open menu then go to change features and locate Basic Visual Voice mail

2. Go down the list of included features and under Additional Features is a Red Add or Remove botton. Locate the button Basic Visual Voice Mail and click Remove.

3. Scroll down until you see the listing: Basic Voice Mail, Visual Voice Mail etc. and click the Red remove box by the Visual Voice Mail.

4. Below that you will see options for your Voice mail service and then choose the Basic Voice Mail to use and click add.

5. When you're done making changes click next at the bottom of the screen and then ok.

6. Go into your device and set up your required Basic voice mail program. You may continue to receive error “new voice mail message for a period of time”.
