Static issue

When Im at the home menu or in the middle of a app I keep finding this static type thing and I just got the phone at 2:00 yesterday and I haven't droped it or anything...... Is it a  software issue or something and if someone can help that would be awesome...... I already reset the phone to where you have to go through the sync and setup phase......This is really starting to get on my nerves.... HELP!

If you are still within the return policy period, I would suggest taking it back to the store and exchanging it.
