I haven't received the OTA update for Lollipop, so I decided to try to update it using the Software Upgrade Assistant on the computer. Well, whenever the update started, my phone would stay normal, and then about near the halfway mark, it would power off and go into Download Mode, freezing the update progress bar. After several attempts, I put my phone into download mode first, and then both my phone and program began to update slowly. Well, after the program finished, it told me that the software update failed, and that I should run the Repair Assistant. My phone is now stuck on the same screen no matter how many times I power off or attempt to do a factory reset. Its on "Software Update Failed" with a little phone and a computer. What do I do??? I've tried contacting Samsung but they were no help.

Kies won't install on my computer, unfortunately. I tried to do repair assistant (in the middle of that right now) and it keeps saying its unplugged, but its not. There's just a progress bar on my phone screen under the message that I've been getting.

Some have suggested seeing a Samsung specialist at a Best Buy to perhaps reflash the phone or properly update it.

Yeah I think I'll go ahead and do that. Its not going to update anytime soon with this program.
