Samsung Stratosphere not calling

My Samsung account has a data usage restriction in place and now I cannot make ANY calls. It tells me every number in my contacts list is "disconnected, changed or out of service" if I call any of them!!! It first started to make me dial the number, then prompted me to enter the "10 digit number" I was calling again before dialing out. Now it won't call out at all. I am so frustrated. The stratosphere does not seem to be very reliable. So much for having a phone. I can't even make a PHONE CALL. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure if I am doing this right of not, but I wanted to change my pin number so that when certain people who are on mh account come in to talk to you about their phone they will have the pin number and will not have a problem with you talking to you.  My previous pin number was <Deleted> and I would like to change it to <Deleted>  If you could do that right away I woudl greatly appreciate it.  Thank you !!

BuffySB, this is a user-to-user forum, not a Verizon support site. You need to visit My Verizon or maybe call them up. You can't get this done here, and it's a little annoying to have this request tacked on to someone else's unrelated problem.

imadethelily, it's not quite clear what the issue is. The Samsung Stratosphere is on a Verizon Wireless account (not a Samsung one). A data restriction on this account only concerns Internet-type data (Web browsing, e-mail, streaming video, etc.). It does not apply to phone calls. You probably do have a certain number of minutes per month allotted for your phone calls. But if you go over that number, I don't think the phone quits working -- they just charge you more money!

But clearly there is a problem with the phone. Hopefully someone here may have some relevant experience with such an issue. If not, and if you've got a landline, you might want to call Verizon Wireless support, and hopefully they can help you with it. Another possibility would be to take it in to a Verizon store.
