Samsung Illusion Master Reset help

I did a Master Reset on my Samsung Illusion and now it says that I need to "Activate" it again but when I try, it won't let me. How can I fix it?

We definitely need to get your device up and running. Let's take a look into. Is there a particular error message that you receive when you go to activate service? If you are located within the Verizon Wireless service area you may dial *228 send and then option 1 to activate.
