I recently purchased (2) Samsung Galaxy Core Prime phones through Verizon. When using Google Maps there is no directional arrow on the "blue dot" showing the direction I am facing. Samsung has told me there is a digital compass as part of the phone. Verizon says it should be working and the issue is probably with Google. It shows fine with my Galaxy tablet and Google Maps so I'm not sure what the issue can be. Is it possible for Verizon to be in error and be disabling the digital compass on the phone?

You might want to check if the GPS is on and calibrated.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

The GPS is on. Google maps is showing my location but not the direction I am facing. There should be an arrow on the blue dot (in Google Maps) showing the direction I am facing and traveling. This is not working on my phone. Again, Samsung has told me there is a magnetometer/digital compass on this phone and I would like for it to work.
