I upgraded to a Galaxy S5 in June 2014 after years with an I Phone. Since the change, it's been nothing but problems. My phone overheats, my cloud does not work, my phone alerts me all day long and night, even when my alerts are all turned off.Do these phones need to be re called? I am so unhappy with this phone and I upgraded to another 2 years with Verizon when I decided to purchase the phone.

We do not want to lose you! Did this start after installing a new update or application? I would suggest testing the device in Safe Mode for a period of time to see if the performance improves. Here is a link with instructions for the S 5: http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-97645/

We will work to offer you the wonderful device experience you deserve, Simply_Von! Are you getting temperature warnings on the screen directly or is it hot to the touch? What happens when you try to use the Cloud and what alerts are going off consistently? I am eager to get to the bottom of this!
Thank you,

It's very hot to the touch daily, it doesn't keep a charge if plugged in
some days (I bought 2 new chargers, and they charge the phone (when it
decides to keep a charge), as well as my car charger). The I cloud just
says failed to back up, and comes on daily. My e
mail/facebook/instagram/twitter will close frequently and the messages
reads "Unfortunately (Instagram) has stopped" and you can only press the
"ok" option. My e mail takes a long time to load, and my yahoo mail
especially will shut down at least 5 times daily. The phone alerts me at
least 5 times every hour and all my application notifications are turned
off (how is that even possible?)), so now I have to resort to keeping my
phone on vibrate daily. I have turned off and on the phone many times, and
nothing changes, I've uninstalled and re instaqlled all apps, and still,
nothing happens. I have had nothing but problems with this device and I
called customer service yesterday to attempt to see what can be done about
this. I only renewed for another two more years with Verizon because I
thought this phone would be worth it, but sadly, it is not. I am not
interested in anything but returning this phone and getting an I Phone 6,
and I don't think it is fair for me to pay retail price for the I phone
when this phone is defective in every sense of the word. I am waiting to
hear back from customer service, but if I don't qualify for any help from
Verizon, unfortunately, I will break my contract and leave Verizon.

I got my S5 in August and I have none of the issues you describe. Have you tried walking into a Verizon store and showing them what's happening? Did it do all these things from day one? Mary
