After upgrading to Kitkat 4.4, mobile data on my Galaxy S3 is not turned on. I have to restart my phone in order to activate the mobile data. Once deactivated I can't turn it back on.

Oh no, that doesn't sound right, Mundeep! When did you do the software update? If you pull down the notifacation window from your main screen are you able to turn your mobile data on/off there? When you can't turn it on, do you get any kind of error messages when you try to turn it back on? One thing I would suggest is to power the device off all the way, remove the battery and pull the sim card: http://vz.to/JCXQlK Please keep us posted.

I upgraded on June 21, but did not notice the issue until early July. I did as you suggested but it did not help.

I am having the same issue. Once my screen locks the wifi is cutoff, and I have to restart my phone to get it to work again.

Mundeep,
Thank you for trying that. Let's see if we can find out what is causing the trouble and get you back in business. Place the phone in Safe Mode: http://vz.to/1i7G9Eq , then try turning the data off and back on. Let us know if the problem persists in Safe Mode.
