Rollback to Gingerbread on Lucid?

Updated my Lucid to the ICS and ya to put it mildly I am VERY disappointed in the results.  The phone lags, won't load half of my apps, is SLOW, SLOW, SLOW and IF and I mean IF it lets me connect to the internet I'm lucky if I can few a page every 5 minutes because of the eternity it takes to load pages....needless to say after only owning the phone for 3 months is just about to go to the trash...I know people hated on the Gingerbread OS but at least my phone worked and I had ZERO complaints about it...

So PLEASE can someone tell me how do I roll it back to the Gingerbread OS without bricking my phone??  The in-store Verizon folks have been oh so helpful with their blank stares and "umm I don't think you can" responses...

I don't think you can. I will says we have 2 Lucids and our phones are working better than ever with ICS compared to gingerbread.

Give it a little time to settle in. If it doesn't get any better, you may want to look into doing a factory data reset.

I totally agree, this update STINKS!!!! I am experiencing the same problems as you, slow slow slow, is incredibly laggy when I try to type a single sentence..and it DIES halfway through the day. As I type this my phone was charged all night, its 11:31am and it's already at 53%... I want the old gingerbread back!!

ICS is a major update; how long has it been since you installed it?  It can take up to 72 hours or longer to optimize your phone, during which time the phone can act funky and battery life be poor.  If after that time you still experience issues, you may want to do a factory reset, as was previously suggested .... this is recomended after such a large upgrade as ICS.

As I've stated before my Lucid battery life is at least 50% better since the ICS update. I've already given advice on how to optimize the phone so anyone interested can do a search.

Sorry, but you can not roll back from ICS to GB.
