bought razr couple d/a set couple contacts with a mp3 ringtones- one took, other one went back to default, so now cant reset to a mp3 NOR to any internal ringtone from phone; system wont allow any option but for default for any contact? Anyone else having similar problem?? did dwnload new update for os today; any correlation with issue?
Interesting? tried setting ringtones to other contacts -from internal and sd card, either ringdroid or self -made mp3 copied over from computer and some contacts will take ringtone and others won't. Talked with Moto tech, so far stumped, but working on it. Anyone have answer/ideas? has a setting of some sort been inadvertently changed or with using backup assistant, files corrupted/not recognized from ICS os from GNexus changed so the gingerbread on razr caused some backward compatibility glitch? I'm not tech on how os works on these phones, but whats happening is at that level??? not user lost on phone.

Message was edited by: StevGnex 1-15-2012 found answer on motorola's FORUMS under select Android then droid razr which provides listing in forum - "trouble saving ringtones for specific contact" - posted 12-4-2011; quick easy to do, done in correct order; does mean resetting all specified ringtones for desired contacts, but now works consistently. Also found prior to this listing, if i deleted individually a contact, I could properly set specific ringtone for that contact.
