How do I use internet and facebook away from my WiFi? Whenever I leave home I can't connect to anything. Can't I just use data through the phone without wifi?
I have the same problem, I can connect through wifi just fine, but most of the time when I need to use my phone for internet, i'm not near wifi, it's really annoying not being able to use the data. Anyone know a solution?
You have to make sure mobile data is turned on. menu>settings>wireless & networks>mobile data
yes, and if demmo86rt's suggestion doesn't help, one would think you need to contact VZW as there may be something wrong with your account.

If you have a smartphone that's active on a Verizon Wireless phone number then yes, you should definitely have access to our 3G or 4G network (depending on device/location).
What type of phone do you have? What does your phone say at the top when you're not at home?
