Im sorry and im sure this is a repost but I dont have the patients to search anymore.  Can anyone say where the Nexus one is at?  Ive heard the 23rd, 24th, apr 11th, its out now.  I dont see it, the people at the local verizon are acting like I sad the N worod when I ask about it.  WTH, I am so sick of the trash phones verizon puts out and finally we had something to look forward to with style and tech.   I was due and upgrade in November, (sorry BB storm 1) and the guy told me about the Nexus one.  I am to the point now where I am really considering switching services because I feel like verizon is playing games.  AT&T isnt terrible in my area neither is T-mobile so I wont be losing much...Sorry for the rant but **bleep**, I just wanna smash this BB...

It will come out when it is ready with minimal bugs. If they push it out too quick 2 days later people like you would be on here complaining about all the bugs and how terrible this phone is. Take a deep breath relax and wait until the official announcement about the phone coming out it will be alright im sure waiting a little longer wont hurt you. If you wanna switch then switch but when something new and better comes out for Verizon you will be crying wishing you stayed with Verizon.

Nice copy and paste from the other question.  I dont complaign about bugs, I expect that since I am a person that likes new things as soon as possible.  Id rather have a "few" kinks then what Im dealin with now.

i'm with you, catts. every carrier is announcing new phones but verizon. i'm afraid that they put so much hype into the droid that they won't support an alternative.

i really want an iphone, but i'm on verizon for now. i hate blackberrys, windows mobile is a joke, the droid is heavy and i don't like sliding keyboards. the nexus one looks like the best iphone alternative for me but where is it???

Tom, I think everyone has the same feelings you do.  However, I think Verizons plan is to wait until the last day of April to release the phone to the general public. 

Why?

Because right now they have buy one get one free for the Droid.  And because they allow you to return your phone within 30 days to exchange it, the majority of Droid owners or anyother smartphone for that matter would probably return it for the Nexus One.  Im guessing it has something to do with the way Google is selling the phone to you, and not to Verizon.  I dont really understand it, but the guy in the store today told me he believed it will be within 2 weeks(That they announce) because they just started to get documentation on how to work the phone. 

They should just let people know when the **bleep** thing is coming out though.  Its annoying.  Love the network, hate the provider. 

As for the Evo - thing looks like a brick.  Im content with 3G, but the Droid is to heavy and I never need the keyboard and the Eris is too slow.  The one cool phone Sprint did comeout with is the Motorola i1.  I just wish Verizon would catch up on their rugged phones too.

Good ol' American greed. They want all the unsuspecting consumers to buy up their outdated crappy handsets and trap them for 2 years.  I bet if the majority of their customers were technology savvy they wouldn't continually pull this tomfoolery.  Verizon customers unite!!!  We're tired of having to trade great coverage area for crappy outdated handsets and phantom release dates for new handsets.

Funny that the 2 people listed as having the the flat box called Droid are saying just suck it up blah, blah.  Hater Nation is alive and well.  I talked to an AT&T Rep last night and he was able to tell me a date for the 4G iPhones release, and its going to be able to be used as a wifi hotspot for 5+ devices, He wasnt positive on the number actually supported.  We cant even get a REAL answer on a phone coming out last Tuesday???  The guy at my local verizon told me this AM when I went to get my BB replaced AGAIN that he hasnt even seen it in the system to learn, which they usually get 2-3 weeks before the phones relesed.  Also he showed me his iPhone, Verizon employee with an iPhone..hmmm are we missing something?
