I have had smartphones before and none have done this: my new month old droid 4 keeps randomly powering down. i will have a charged battery and sometimes it will even be plugged in but it keeps saying 0% battery left and shuts down. I can turn it back on but it will just shut down again eventually. It keeps doing it more frequently now, please please, please help

If the battery is completely drained (5% or less), it would be best to shut it off, plug it into a wall outlet and let it set there for at least four hours (eight would be better). If after you do this, and the battery still is at zero percent, you have a faulty battery that should be replaced. But first try giving it a complete charge, as stated. Do not try charging it using a USB plug and your computer, it will not charge in this manner, you must use a wall outlet.

Same here with a 2 day old Droid 4...it is going back to the store!
