I can successful sync my phone to my PC via USB, but when I connect the 'F' drive appears under "My Computer", but when I click on it, it it say "please insert a disk or removable drive" I've tried "mounting" and "unmounting", I've tried formatting the media card but I still will not register on the PC, I am just trying to tranfer old pics to my new phones memory card. Please help
Try going through these exact steps to transfer files to your phone. Make sure that you do not mount the SD card until you have connected your hone to your PC with the USB cable. This could make a big difference.
To transfer music, pictures, and other files from your computer to your
phones storage card, you need to set the phones storage card as a
USB drive.
To set the phone’s storage card as a USB drive, Connect the phone to the computer using the USB cable. A notification icon ( ) appears in the status bar.
Open the Notifications panel. In the Notifications panel, tap USB connected and then tap Mount.
Note: When you select Mount, the phone will not recognize the storage
card when it is connected to a computer. You will not be able to use
some of the phones applications such as Camera or Music.
