Spoke to Citi as well.  In my case, the card that was unable to register was an American Airlines card, and they indicate that co-branded cards will not work with Samsung Pay.

There is something fishy going on here (I'm sure we all already know that).

Verizon pushes an update to allow the use of Samsung Pay, but only includes half (framwork only) of what we need to use the app. They include a note in the update saying to get the other half, go to the Google Play store when it is available. I contacted Samsung Mobile and they flat out told me it will NOT be available in the Play store. The guy even sounded shocked that I would even think that lol - like I offended him or something.

When I contacted verizon about it, the lady I was chatting with took every opportunity to dismiss it altogether and change the subject. There is obviously a huge miscommunication between Verizon, Samsung and the consumers.

Sure, we can just change one thing in the security settings and download the APKs, but we should not have to do that...

That's where all the Pay update comes from.

That was the first place I checked. It would make more sense for it to be

there instead of the Play store.
