@Funderbird, Now I remember your phonescoop post and that was the one I was looking for, but couldn't find it.  Thanks!

I really do hope they announce the phone. It really has become ridiculous.

I stand by my decision to buy out my contract and move to AT&T, though.  The phone is incredible.

I do have to admit that I do miss the excellent network that Verizon has.

However, ATT has excellent customer service, and if anything is even remotely wrong they take care of it immediately.

Luckily they are building some LTE towers in my area, which will be complete by June.

Good luck with the announcement. I still follow this on a daily basis.

@31tudor, regarding your poll at post https://community.verizonwireless.com/message/960746#960746, only 4 so far including mine!  I don't know which it says more about: the desire of folks on this thread to buy the HTC One, or the ineffectiveness of running polls in linear chat forums.  Nice attempt though -- we learned something, just not sure what it was!

I can't say I would, the ONLY reason being the SD card slot. I'm really banking on the variant to have SD card slot support. This announcement on may 22nd or some other one "we'll make a big deal" is really hard to wait for knowing I might not get this phone. Although the google edition of the S4 is pricey, I know i'd be able to get a cheaper plan going through another carrier and it'd be easy to sell whenever I wanted to. Although the S4 is plastic, I see two big things I'd want. 1) SD card slot and 2) PURE Android. http://reviews.cnet.com/smartphones/samsung-galaxy-s4-google/4505-6452_7-35761621.html

I too am intrigued by the thought of the Google Edition S4, It may be the perfect phone from a tech specs, sd card slot, and software perspective.  Not a huge fan of the cheap plastic look, but I had the GS3 for a while and it wasn't that bad.  As for the "Nexus" GS4, just yet another phone that VZW customers don't get, I really don't think VZW cares about their customers in the least bit, its all $$$

I am becoming more and more convinced that Verizon won't have the HTC One.   >> comments deleted; please keep it courteous <<

S4 only has 8GB usable on board, and apps cannot go to SD Card, think I like the 32GB option on the One w/o SD card support.

@Fortheloveoftech, just curious -- do you have any basis on which to expect it to have SD support?  Neither the DNA nor the non-VZW HTC One have SD card, right?

In my case, I'm banking on them having at least 32GB and preferably also offer the 64GB since only 26GB out of 32GB is available and I'm already over that on my Thunderbolt, and would like to have more on-board storage.

I'd prefer SD card as well although the only time I've removed it was when I had to replace my TB (under warranty).  As far as uploading/downloading media, I'm happy with the USB connection (e.g. dont' need to remove the SD card for that).  So the SD card, is a matter of convenience that I'm willing to forego as long as I'm offered enough storage.  Just curious, what do you remove your SD card for?

@summit21 ... I'm not sure how long you've used android but I've always been able to transfer apps to microSD. Some apps won't allow it, some will. http://forums.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-tab-2/198227-whats-point-micro-sd-card-cant-save-app...

P.S.  I would also like to see a 32 gb BUT with SD card slot support

this is the only basis I can go on --> https://twitter.com/LlabTooFeR/status/298432587603517440/photo/1

We can only say that the DNA doesn't have SD card slot support right now. I agree we will most likely be seeing a 32 gb if any and the 64 gb seems to be an AT&T exclusive...kind of like when the first iphone came out. If you want 64 gb you'll have to buy the developer edition from HTC --> http://shopamerica.htc.com/cell-phones/productdetail.htm?prId=41599

As far as removing my microSD card, I don't my friend. I just prefer storage space that I can control. I don't trust cloud services so I like having my information on a physical copy. I'm right there with you, having a Tbolt, and I have had no need to remove my microSD...which is how it should be unless you're replacing it with a new one.  << Discussions of rooting or hacking devices is not permitted >>

when i saw this yesterday i thought "fantastic".....until i learned only on tmo or at&t and only the 16gig version. this seems like it's sort of a developers' version, so i would have thought google and samsung would know that the target for this device will want at least 32 gigs internal. since they removed the ability to move apps to sd, it's just absurd to drop $649 and then not be able to install a bunch of the larger games (that the phone is built to play).
