HTC DROID DNA is still fairly new. Releasing an entirely new phone, better than the previous DNA would obvious make the DNA obsolete. O.o

They are still 2 different devices in size and performance, but yeah I know

the One is better in most specs except the DNA still has size and a couple

features over the One. I could see people choosing the DNA over the One

that don't care about processor, camera, and storage. But it would

definitely affect the DNA sales(which are probably not very impressive

anyway)

see their lineup of motorola. it's never stopped them before. i think they released the razr, razr max, M, razrHD and razorHD maxx.......all inside of a one year span.

Honestly with all the technology changes we have happening about every 3-6 months I think we need a new HTC flagship every 4 months Feb, June, Oct.... Then Motorola, Samsung, and LG can follow suit, we all know Apple is gonna keep doing their annual release...

but you can't really call any of them a flagship device if you are pumping out 3-5 devices from 4 or 5 manufacturers every year. you only get a subsidized device every 20 months and most people aren't going to spend the $ until they have the discounted price. with software updates, a device should be relevant for well over a year (ideally, at least 20 months). i think samsung got it right. one high end device for the masses and a high end LARGE device, and then a cheaper version. HTC sort of does this also (rezound was very nice, then the Inc4g was affordable, then the DNA). motorola though....i would never buy one. you'll never know if they will release something nicer in a month. i wouldn't want to spend the $ if i thought whatever i was buying was going to have a nicer version within a few months. i would have been pretty upset if i had bought the razr and then 2 months later realized i could have had the same phone with twice the battery.

Yeah that's why everytime I think Damn I want that phone but it's rarely

ever worth leaving Verizon for....because eventually they will get anything

good and sometimes even make it better!g

Any chance we could get a response on this from Verizon?  I'm strongly considering a move to AT&T as their service will be very similar in my area and they will have the phone that I would like to get.  When I lock into a contract that will guarantee Verizon $2160 dollars (not including the price of the phone) over two years I want to be sure that I have a phone I will be able to enjoy for two years without frustration unlike my current phone which has been more of an annoyance than anything for much of the contract.

I read the specs and unfortunately it doesn't have what i want in a smartphone. The screen is to big. I prefer 4 to 4.3", and it doesn't come with a micro sd slot and a removable battery. And the jury's still out on it's voice/call quality.

you won't get a response from verizon here, or anywhere else. they only announce a new phone when it's ready for sale or at least preorder. if you follow other forums that track rumors and leaked photos, etc, then you can get an idea of what will be coming to verizon a few months before verizon will ever announce anything. my guess would be that since it will be march or april before the One even hits U.S. carriers, then next HTC for verizon will likely not be until this summer.

No, you won't be able to get through to anyone by way of this community

post. But the best way is to send emails through contact method and the

absolute best way to be heard is to call executive corporate account

solutions and get to a supervisor and then their supervisor as many times

as possible! That phone comes in a 64gb so who needs an sd slot anyway

really, other than it does give you the ability to remove content when

needed. As far as call quality, the HTC one will have superb quality, but

at&t will not have their hd voice upgrade to network up and runing until

end of summer at least that's the rumor. Verizon is supposed to be working

on its LTE+ upgrade this year also, but right now they have the best call

quality and in my area(Portland/vancouver) they've got at&t beat hands down

on data speeds. Also, there is rumor that Verizon is possibly working on an

exclusive "One" version that will probably have a few spec bumps or extra

specs, maybe an exclusive colorway(red?) And should be ready for launch at

either April or May end, reason being is the DNA launched Nov 21, April is

5months, May is 6mo. Usually they have to wait 5-6 mo as they have

contracts in place on exclusive devices plus they won't want to kill their

own sales on a heavily promoted device. Even though I have seen a DNA

commercial in weeks now! And they are really 2 different devices, with

different features and sizes! Come on Verizon GIVE US THE GREATEST HTC

DEVICE TO EVER BE BUILT! THUS DEVICE IS RELEVANT FOR NEXT 12 MONTHS EASY!

AND THE DESIGN AND BUILD QUALITY WILL LAST 2 YEARS MINIMUM...
