I believe Netflix restrict you from streaming a movie on your phone and use the HDMI out or DLNA to view it on the TV.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Not true you could also use a Roku or similar device. Most blu-ray players also have Netflix and many newer TV have Netflix apps too. Or he could hook his PC to the TV.

I have a Samsung Blu-Ray player that has Netflix built in. Also, as the above poster said, you can connect your PC to your TV. If you go to the Netflix home page, there's a link at the bottom that says "Watch instantly on your TV with devices that stream instantly from Netflix." That link lists your options.

i use a roku (about $60). i have a samsung blu ray player that has a netflix app, but mine is cheap so it's DREADFULLY slow. the roku is great, and cheap!!! we have a wii as well, that will work, but it only streams in 480p. roku does at least 720 (maybe 1080???)

Hulu restricts you from viewing from your phone to your TV. Netflix allows you to use HDMI, DLNA, or Component Cables to watch from your phone to TV.

I like Hulu more than Netflix, but that has always been my biggest peeve.
