I hope this is date holds up, I am now eligible for a NE2!! I just hope it's not $279 to upgrade like the current T-Mobile offering. I think it's ridiculous that they would keep the upgrade price that high since this phone will be on such a larger network and will still have to compete with the AT&T iPhone and the Droid and upcoming Incredible for VZW. I guess we'll see.

I hope this is accurate. I want the N1 on Verizon....
My company is ending it's contract with Sprint in March. I will have one week at the end of March to get a new service or risk losing the mobile number I have had for the past 20 years....
However, with my luck, it will be offered 1 week after I am forced to get something else....

The upgrade for T-Mobile is $179... if you'd upgrade to the Moto Droid, it's 199. so the N1 is $20 LESS
Like an **bleep**, i got the Droid. I WILL BE spending the $600 for the N!. WHY? because the charging cords Verizon sells does not meet Moto standards and I am having a heck of a problem keeping the piece of crap charged.

I can't wait for this phone, and couldn't be more excited at the thought of this coming before May.
Question for you guys...if I add-a-line to my current family plan (getting the Nexus One), and immediately disconnected the phone and activated a basic flip-phone, is there a penalty?
Thanks

Big_Red_Loyal, I'm pretty sure its $279 for an upgrade, see the link below as you mentioned on Google's Nexus One website:

Correct only new customers get the $179 rate, customers renewing their contract pay $279.which make's me think that if Verizon comes out with the HTC Incredible around the same time, why pay more for for the N1 when the Incredible will be pretty much the same phone with some enhanced features? Two big factors for me will be how the N1 is sold ( If it is oferred only through Googles web site I don't want it) and the final specs on the Incredible.
