My phone is no longer charging

I have a Galaxy S6. It has all of a sudden as of today stopped charging using a regular wall charger and even my car charger. But it does charge using the wireless charger, but it's a slow charge. I have only had the phone since April 2015. If it has something to do with it internally, what are my options? I don't think I should have to pay for another phone or do an insurance claim.  Is there anything I can do on my end?

I would bite the bullet, get it repaired, and sell it ASAP. Buy an LG, it's that simple! I've had far too many Samsung devices with hardware and software issues. I purchased LG G3 in August of 2014 and I haven't had a single issue! Keep in mind that I am a heavy user, with mapping software running every day for at least 6 to 8 hours! In terms of quality, LG has developed some incredible dependability!

I have learned that Samsung is notorious for having issues with the charging port coming loose from the board. They could possibly be a manufacture defect. If it is within the year, it is still under warranty. If it is deemed to be defective, from other than user abuse, Samsung should correct it. I left Samsung for that exact reason.

I won't buy an LG G3.  Been there, done that.  But, that was also when I was still with T-Mobile.  The one worked terrific when I first got it, but within due time it got very buggy and laggy and was the worst phone I have had to date.  Glad you like your phone, however, I need a solution to my charging problem, not another phone recommendation....

chris1060 I don't see how they could deem it as abused.  It was charging yesterday morning.  I ran a few errands, tried to charge it on my car charger and realized that it wasn't working.  So it's as if this has just started all of a sudden with no indication whatsoever.  When I woke up this morning, after it had been on the wireless charging station all night, it hadn't even charged to a full 100%. I think it was like 84% which is not satisfactory, obviously. It also loses the charge pretty quickly after I remove it from there.  I am going to the Verizon store where I purchased it originally and my hope is that they will either fix it or replace it because it is still under warranty.  I wish I could find the warranty info, though. Thank you for reminding me that it is still under warranty!! Smiley Happy

Please don't take my comment as me saying you abused the phone. I'm not saying that user abuse caused the problem.  When I started having issues with my charging port and contacted Samsung, they were telling me that it was the way that I was plugging the charger cable into the port, causing it to wiggle loose from the board. I was always carefulplugging the charger cable in, but after about four months I started having this issue. to me Samsung is sort of sneaky on their practices, and tends to make it look like it's the users fault when something goes wrong with the phone. I will never own another Samsung product.

We had our Samsung Galaxy S3's for more than 2 years, & before that mark even, BOTH of our otherwise beloved phones would no longer charge, no matter what cord or charger! We were going to upgrade to the S6 edge ones, but were very easily talked out of it! Between the CHAOS & ANNOYINGNESS of having to constantly chare our batteries in my husband's newer (but still an S3 model) WORK PHONE, so we could keep even USING our phones SOMETIMES at all. And the typical low battery life they have, in general. Then ADD THE PROMOTION they were having when my phone finally BROKE... And we were easily swayed to get the new Motorola Droid Turbo 2 models instead! Also, we also both got free tablets this way, & still only changed our bill so it will be JUST $6 extra. I'm much happier already!
