My MMS has been slow lately and now it keeps crashing

Today is the first time ever I've experience messenger crashing. Really slow to just send SMS as well. Any ideas why this might happen? I tried restarting, it doesn't help. I'm connect to the wireless at work, too--which is very strong.

Thanks! You know what I just discovered? It's only slow/crashing when I talk to my boyfriend--who sends me a lot of pictures of his kids 🙂

In Settings, under app manager --> Messages, there was an option to 'Clear cache' -- I was going to try that, but I don't know what that will do.

drive carefully removing the SIM card and a soft reset or putting it in safe mode and test it out
