Same continuous rebooting problems but mine started as soon as the update was complete. I charged over night with phone off to no avail. After turning phone back on this morning I noticed there's no cell signal and no data. Checked "Settings/About Phone/Status" and found that the phone now thinks there's no SIM card installed, which might explain why it keeps rebooting. Noticed that if the phone is plugged into the charger, and I have the music playing, the phone doesn't reboot continuously. It does reboot sometimes in the middle of a song but not near as much as it does without.

Took my phone to the Verizon store tonight and showed them the problem. Guy took it in the back and came out 20 minutes later and now have phone and data signal. Told me all he did was a hard reboot on the phone and can't find a problem. Seems to be working alright now and at least I have a phone signal and it's not rebooting continuously any longer. Checked my apps (that I didn't delete in response to this problem) and they're opening faster than before. Left the store about 1 1/2 hours ago with battery strength at 85% and it's still at 82% now.

One thing I showed him was on boot up there was an unlocked "lock" symbol on the Samsung screen with "custom" below it. When he returned my phone I pointed out it was no longer there. He saw it as well when I went in the store and told me he had never seen that before.

Kudos to David at the Flint Township, MI store for helping me out with this! Hopefully it continues working correctly without sucking my battery dry like so many others.

Here is my thoughts about it. Why does a brand new out of the box with Lollipop S5 work perfectly and people with the phone already have problems? Its something on the phone already. Odin the Lollipop upgrade onto the phone. Clear EVERYTHING on the phone multiple times before and after doing that.

Something I forgot to mention is my CPU temps were running about 115 F before the Lollyflop upgrade but after they were running about 178 F while not doing anything other than view the data on the CPU-Z app. After the "fix" at the store tonight, I'm looking at right around 105 F across the board.

Lock screen has lost notification icons and replaced with "verizon wireless". I don't like having to unlock my phone to see if I have a message.  Can this be changed back?

Aweful update. The lag in every program has me think the phone didn't detect the app or page I pressed and makes me click things on the next page that weren't there when I originally clicked. Also Pandora isn't available on the lock screen?! Battery life seems to have taken a dive off the deep end too. Nothing positive to say about this update.

Hate the update! My phone is slower than ever and battery drains very quickly. Also, as of today I can't make or receive calls. Probably can't blame that on the update but it is just one more problem with my phone. Really hope the next update is better!

I totally agree! I have my phone on power saving mode and the battery still drains!

FWIW: In other threads, people have been reporting that by removing Facebook and Facebook Messanger, their overheating and Batt Drain issues improved.

I agree I think Facebook tends to pull it share weight and can use quite a bit of battery I swipe and stop my Apps after 15min. of inactivity..
