I've heard about this feature, but I don't see how I can enable it. Am I missing something? I tried searching on these forums but didn't find anything useful.
Go into Google Maps, hit "Menu", and select "Join Latitude". It shares your location with your friends and Google.
who are considered "friends"? Contacts?
People you specifically invite to be your Latitude friends. Latitude contactlist is maintained separately, and even still you have to set granularity for each friend, as in how much information they get. (Just your city, your actual street location, etc.)
