LG Vortex as computer modem?

Obviously this will work as a computer modem but we can't seem to get it to connect to the internet? Can anyone please help with the step by steps for this?

You will need to add the feature to your account. We offer Mobile Broadband Connect/3G Hotspot. Mobile Broadband Connect provides Mobile Broadband service using an enabled BlackBerry, Smartphone, or device as a modem. This feature is $20 for 2GB monthly.

2 GB monthly data allowance applies to all data transmitted (on handset and shared devices) while the mobile hotspot application is active. $20 / 1 GB Overage Rate. $29.99 or higher data package require.
