I connect my Spectrum 2 via USB cord to laptop. Phone starts charging with no problem. Although, I don't get any information in notification bar that it is connected to a PC. I have checked the settings. it is set up for MTP and to prompt me when it is connected. When I go into My Computer, it shows no device is attached. Have tested USB drives, and they are working fine.

Thanks for contacting us and already going through some troubleshooting steps, Steviegee! Does anything happen when you put the phone in Safe Mode http://vz.to/1moYrZc? Have you ever been able to connect the Spectrum 2 to your laptop?

Just tried in Safe Mode with no luck. Yes, the phone connected in the past.

Thanks for trying that step Steviegee. Please download the USB driver for the phone to your computer. http://www.lg.com/us/support/software-manuals
You'll need to select Verizon, Spectrum 2, and select the tab for software update at the bottom.

Have downloaded the file. But, not sure where this file should be saved in
order for it to function.

No need to worry Steviegee! Once downloaded the file should auto open. Did you select save or open? Please keep us posted, thanks!
