Well, sorta bricks. Had this phone a week now and it's happened twice. Happened the second day I owned it, and last night. Not sure if its related, but both times it happened after I turned the phone on, off, on, and off again within a few seconds. It won't turn back on. Won't charge. Nothing. No lights, no sounds, nada. Holding the power key does nothing.
Had to pull the battery both times, then after putting it all back together all was well.
Anyone else having this issue? I like the phone, and will be calling CS soon for a replacement.

Don't call customer service, go quickly to a Verizon Wireless Corporate store and return it within the 14 day return policy. Verizon will jerk you around past that 14 day over the phone. At the store you can get a brand new same phone, you can get another type of phone of your choosing or you can cancel your service contract and only pay a $35 restocking fee.
After fourteen days you will be locked into a contract, and will get a second hand refurbished same phone. However you may get a worse problem than what you originally had. Run to the store NOW!

I called yesterday, I had ONE day to go before my 14 days were up. Should have a new phone by end of the week. I didn't get jerked around at all, to my surprise.

I hope it comes out ok for you. However going to the Verizon Store would have been the way to go as I posted to you.
Additionally it should not take days to get a NEW phone. Be very wary that Verizon does not send a Refurbished phone.
You were entitled to a BRAND NEW NEVER USED PHONE REPLACEMENT or even another cell phone of your choice.
Many have posted on the forums that they were strung along in order to lock you into the contract and send you a refurbished phone. post back and let me know how you made out.
Also since I am not a trusting soul I would not let a phone call preserve my 14 days I would go to the store.
Good Luck

Yes, as long as you are within 14 days always go to a store for a replacement. Otherwise just use the VZW website and CS for everything.I have never found a use for the store besides returning a busted NEW device.

I got a new phone (I'm pretty sure its new) in the box at home. It arrived last Friday, but after checking some settings on the phone I wanted to see if it would last the weekend without crashing. And it did. I was about to call Verizon to see if I could just send back the new phone, so I didn't have to hassle with setting it up, swapping screen protectors, etc. but it crashed on me three times Monday morning. Didn't crash yesterday, but just crashed again a few minutes ago. Guess I'll be activating that new phone tonight... if I have time.

Good luck setting it up. Before you send it back take photos of your phone you are sending back. take a front view and a back view and photos of each side especially the charging port. Make sure you take a photo of your battery compartment and the serial number and meid tag under it. Make sure they are all dated and take a photo of the return label as well as the carton you send it back in and if you can weigh the package with the returned phone in it.
There have been numerous reports of verizon claiming it was an empty box or that there was water damage to the phone which results in a $300 charge to you.
it pays to be proactive instead of reactive!
Glad I could help
