SO, LG G2 Has been upgraded to Android Lollipop 5.0 before my LG G3. In the first place, this is unacceptable for being the current flagship model that LG Supports, in addition all the other major carriers now support OTA (over the air) Upgrade for LG G3. Barring my frustration with the issues pointed above, it would be extremely convenient to have community posted time-line for the LG G3 Upgrade and/or a plan of action.
I am one of many customers that feel:
A) Why did I buy a flagship phone for 800 dollars (wave Upgrade pricing) when the older model gets support first?
B) Verizon advertises itself as one of the leading companies in the wireless industry (Which also comes with higher prices), so why is it falling short in pushing out updates?
C) Extremely aggrevated because my company hasn't even officially communicated to me why the LG G3 hasn't recieved support since LG released the official 5.0 update back in the end of 2014
So what the final question is: When can we expect an update? if not soon, why not?, Will the LG G4 come out before I get my lollipop?
I agree with you they are proving that they don't care about what we want and what we think at least let us know what's going on with the update all they want is are money and as for the update I have a feeling we won't get it until after they unveil the G4 like they did with HTC it wouldn't surprise me if they pulled that move
What are you even talking about? The M8 got lollypop long before the M9 was even announced
Your right I think that was another carrier that did that
I simply just want an answer, the worst thing any company can do to it's customers is to not keep them in the loop imo
I upgraded my Verizon LG G3 to Android Lollipop 5.0.1 today. Some how it updated when I connected it to my computer. It upgraded using the Verizon Wireless Software Upgrade Assistant. Version: VS98523C.
You definitely got lucky because I tried it on my computer and nothing
