LG G2 Lollipop issues - Slow

Recently phone upgraded to Android L release.

Hell lot of issue,

  • a) Wifi hangs
  • b) System too slow, its like touch and wait for 5 second to respond
  • c) GPS issue
  • d) Battery Drain in 2-3 hrs
  • e) UI sluggishness
  • f) Thermal, heating up
  • Not able to pick the call even if its ringing (UI is so sluggish)

Now I know these systems well, and have worked on it lot, so dont give me suggestion like,

  • * restart the phone
  • * factory restore it (seriously, why? I need my data)

The phone has literally become unusable lying like a brick

If you "know these systems"  you should know that a factory reset might be in order.  I know reinstalling all your apps is a pain (lollipop makes the process 100 times easier) but, get over it and rest the phone

Don't forget battery drain and then on top of that, slow charging.  Heard the factory reset doesn't work....not sure if I want to try until I get confirmation that it fixes the problems.

The actual best thing would have been a factory reset BEFORE the update.  But, you already know these systems well so.....Anyway, I followed my own advice and don't have any of the issues you have.

Okay,

1) Message never popped that "do a factory reset of phone"

2) Shouldnt OTA upgrade takes to factory reset?

3) All apps are optimized while upgrading, all gapps are updated.

Can someone suggest what to do next without rooting? If I factory reset it, my all pics and music would go.

Yes, you should back up those pics and music.  If the phone took your phone back to factory, they would all be gone.

What happens if the symptoms remain even after a hard reset?

You refer to Verizon for a warranty replacement or either you politely explain that the OTA update corrupted your recovery partition and that you have factory reset several times already.

Maybe learn how to do a backup so then you'll know these phones even better!

Not sure if they'd work with me. This one's a refurb--my fifth. It was working pretty decently under Kitkat, or about as decently as an LG G2 running Kitkat can be expected to work. I'm going to try one more reset, and if that doesn't work, I will be done with it.

I will say this much, this will definitely be my last LG. The only reason I got this is that the Droid Maxx I was looking at didn't have a 1080p screen.
