LG Ally - Sound problems!

I'm having problems with my Ally, when I get a text, notification, or phone call. I have the phone volume all the way up and more than half of the time none of the tones work...dosent even vibrate, just the notification light blinks and thats it. I've missed alot of calls because of this. Took it to the Verizon in the mall and they had no clue. If I shut the phone off and restart it, the volume works for about half the day but then goes back to not working...I dont get it. My memory isn't low and I have no junky apps installed on the phone. Even if I just have the phone on Vibrate, it dosent even vibrate half of the time...Any Ideas???! Thanks.

BTW...I have done a Factory Reset on it...Didn't help.

i have not had this issue at all, but i have seen in other threads people reccomending you take the battery out while the phone is still on.

I have provided some steps below that may help.

 

Step 1 – Try a soft reset (instruction below)

-Turn the phone off

-Pull the battery out for 30 seconds

-Place the battery back in

-Power the device back on

 

Step 2 – Ensure that the device is obtaining an optimum signal (3 bars or better)

**If a optimum signal cannot be obtained, try relocating the device.

 

Step 3 – Ensure all volume levels are set to the preferred levels (instruction below).

-Menu

-Settings

-Sound and Display settings

-Ensure Silent mode is not checked

-Select Ringer Volume (ensure it is set to the preferred level)

-Select Phone Ringtone (ensure the tone is loud enough audibly)

-If Vibrate is preferred (ensure it is checked)

-Select a Notification Ringtone (ensure the tone is loud enough audibly)

 

Step 4 – Update the device

-Dial *228 send

-Select option 1 once the recording prompts

-Wait 45 seconds for it to complete programming

 

Step 5 – Retest
