LG Ally Generic Battery

ok, I am new to this, I looked around but didn't find an answer. I bought a used LG Ally that came with 2 batteries (I found out they are not OEM), now my phone will not boot after a software update from Verizon. The Status light just flashes blue.

My question is this, the phone worked great for 2 weeks, I switched batteries, charged them etc no problem, now after the update it won't boot. Has anyone encountered this?

I spoke to a Verizon rep, they said the manufacturer has firmware that won't allow the generic battery, but yet mine worked just fine until the Verizon software update.

If anyone has encountered this or knows how to correct this (other then the OEM battery, which I ordered at the very expensive price)

Bleh , ive used generic batteries and they work fine. Call it in for a replacement. They dont replace the battery just the phone. Or if you want to be 150% sure, but an oem battery.
