Well, Motorola has anounced it has started soak testing for Jelly Bean for RAZR M. Be interesting to see how long before OTA updating starts happening. I know alot of people believe Verizon holds back up updates.

General OTA release should have started already. Manual upgrade option should also be available sometime this week. I prefer manual upgrades to OTA's as the install is invariably more stable and functional. Downside is that they wipe your phone clean, but this assures that app dependencies install "where they are supposed to go" so that apps function as intended. OTA's have to "work around" installed stuff, and this often causes inconsistent "glitchy" behavior from individual to individual. Some OTA installs work perfect, others have issues which may or may not reproduce from phone to phone.

I got the update yesterday, everything went well, I did decide to do a factory reset just to be thorough. Few apps did not like thte update, the developer got back to me that Jelly Bean has some new security measures and he was working to fix that issue. I did not realize factory reset would wipe the SD card also, this time around. I was bumming, luckily I had backed up all my stuff to my PC couple days before. So far I am undecided if it is all that it is hyped up to be.
