I always thought that using wifi would use up alot of my data. But from what i've been reading, when using wifi you don't use your data in your plan.. so if i have a 2GB plan, would this help save me from using so much of my data? Btw.. right now i have unlimited data.. but i'm curious. Thanks!

Using wifi will allow your phone to use that rather than the Broadband connection, so your 3G/4G usage would go down the more you use wifi. There have been people that have looked at their usage, and turned on wifi whenever possible, and their usage went from numbers like 3GB to less than 500MB.
If you wanted to see what your usage would be, start a new billing month, and use wifi as much as possible through the month and see what it is.

Will wifi use up my battery quicker than 4G? Should i keep the wifi on the whole time or only turn it on when i decide to use the internet?

Traditionally, wifi will use less power than broadband, but if you are not connected to a wifi AP, then it will constantly monitor for new networks, and could use your battery faster.

Generally, wifi uses less battery, but it depends on the strength of the wifi you're using. It it's a weak signal, you will use more battery. The same applies to the 3G/4G signal. The weaken the signal, the more battery use.

I use my WI-FI when I am at home and I have better service and I think my battery lasts longer.
But I would definitely check for strength of service.
enjoy.

I'm still unlimited as well, so I just stay on the mobile network. 4G is actually faster than my home WiFi connection.
