Two observations:

1.   >> Comments deleted; discussing moderation is not allowed on this public forum <<

2.  I stick to the belief VZW is milking their customers and know if they offered a 32GB, it would probably be the current price of the 16GB and  the 16GB would have to be less.  Simple math suggest their overall gross margins will be much better charging the 32GB price for the 16GB and "sacrificing"  the 32GB sales.  Net result being they will make more money selling in  spite of selling about 10% less devices.  Their bonus structure probably  has more pull for what they are doing than customer desire.

My guess is VZW has ZERO intent carrying 32Gb model, hence the lack of response.  Why reply an give an accurate answer to us pesky customers?  They have not stated anything firm yet and probably by design.

That would be my guess as well since they did not carry anything but the 16gb with the Note 2 but then I don't remember anyone else that had that in anything but the 16gb.  >> Comments deleted; discussing moderation is not allowed on this public forum. <<

I agree, when my contract is up shortly (2-3 months) I see myself changing to AT&T unless something new has come out for VZW, or some confirmed coming soon announcement has been made.  I have a Galaxy Nexus with 32gb (has been a great phone, but showing its age compared to the new ones out now), I can't see myself going down to a phone with 16gb.  I'd prefer to have Verizon's network for when I travel, but AT&T is almost the same service quality for where I live and work, and I'm a techy and prefer to have a up to date phone.  Hell, I was looking at paying for a full upgrade for the s4 if they had a 32gb or 64gb version available (hence why I keep checking the android forums on VZW).  I'm disappointed, but no major trouble for me either way, I'll go to where there is a device that has my attention at the time.  My only choices are VZW or AT&T for my area though, I wish I still lived and worked in a big city.

I agree with your post and it makes you wonder about the poor decision being made by VZW. Given the fact that the current version (16GB) has only 9GB available for use through no fault of the consumer, you would think that VZW would at least offer the other versions. In today's electronic devices, storage and memory is extremely important. VZW should offer the 32GB or 64GB as an ONLINE ITEM only if they feel that the overall sales of these versions would be low. I for one have the 32 GB version of the S3 and was planning to upgrade to the S4, as well buy my son a new S4 but will have to wait to see if common sense sinks in @ VZW.

imo the problem is twofold mainly more of a disinterest in higher memory phones since that would allow for less revenue from less use of your data connection and secondly a marketing strategy from Samsung that creates more revenue from the 16g phones and miscalculating the outcry/desire for the 32g version.  I personally will either wait till the 32g is available or wait for the note or something better comes along in the fall since i have an s3 now with 32g internal and 64g external with jellybean so  an s4 with 16g internal would be a downgrade to me.

still no word from Verizon on when and if it will deliver the 32gb and 64gb versions of the Samsung Galaxy S4.

Come on Verizon, get with it!

I have seen nothing but rumor and very little of that.  The only solid evidence I have seen from VZW is the release they made a while back that they did not plan to carry anything more than the 16gb.k

To make matters worse, Samsung is letting everybody know an apps 2 sd option is in the update.  The catch is that is literally what they did.  ONLY the apk file can be moved and NOT the data files.  This means on average, 90% of the total app STAYS in the internal storage.  For small apps this is fine, since small or no data files.  For newer social apps and especially games here is an example:  Most have a small 2 to 5mb apk file, but 500mb to 2gb data files.  The Samsung update does NOT help people that use large apps.  Pure BS.

<Sigh>. I have so much anger toward this carrier right now. It would seem as though the fault might be with Samsung over the carriers. Although the statistics point to options (16gb/32gb/64gb) as being non-advantageous for each carrier, my feeling is that AT&T forked over a bunch of cash to have the 32GB GS4 as an exclusive to them for a given time (let's say 3 months). That's why you've heard no mention of it anywhere else pretty much world wide. It's not that Samsung can't manufacture them, it's not that the carriers can't afford them, it's all about money.

tl;dr

AT&T has the only 32GB GS4 because they paid to be the ONLY ones to carry it for an extended period of time, NOT because the other carriers like VZW couldn't afford to carry both SKUs.

It's a guess, and it's my take, but that's what I'm sticking with.

We'll see maybe if I'm right or not in the coming months.

Of course it's all about the money for all corporations.  They don't exist and do business for any other reason.
